Selangor allows congregational prayers without physical distancing, starting April

SULTAN of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has given his consent for congregational prayers to be held in the state’s mosques and surau without the need for physical distancing, effective April 1.

Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) director Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad said the decision was made after the ruler met with state government agencies and members of the Selangor Royal Council.
