AirAsia slips to PN17 status after failed appeal bid

AIRASIA Group Bhd slipped to the status of being a financially troubled entity after a failed bid to  secure an extension of the relief period from PN17 classification.

PN17 stands for Practice Note 17/2005 and is issued by Bursa Malaysia to companies in financial distress. Companies classified as PN17 need to submit to the approving authority their plans for restructuring and revival to maintain their listing status.
