BERSATU has launched a flood relief fund with an initial RM1 million amount to help affected victims nationwide, said president Muhyiddin Yassin.

The proposal to set up the fund is based on the recommendation of the supreme council, he added.

He said party members are urged to contribute to the fund to ease the burden of flood victims.

“I have instructed all party machineries and the Perikatan Nasional component party machinery to go to the affected areas to assist victims once Bersatu’s 4th annual general assembly ends today.

“If anyone has to go back after the assembly or now, then go; we will not hold you back.

“What is important is the people. We are a party that supports and always cares about the people’s problems.”

Muhyiddin also expressed his sadness over the floods that have hit several states. – Bernama, December 19, 2021.
