Death row inmate receives global support for clemency

A MAN on death row in Bentong prison, Pahang, has received more than a 100,000 letters, emails and signatures supporting his application for clemency and commutation of his death sentence, rights group Amnesty International (AI) Malaysia said today.

Support has come from people in more than 20 countries for Hoo Yew Wah, 37, who has been on death row since 2011 for drug trafficking.
