AIRASIA will offer flights between klia2 and Changi Airport seven times a week starting November 29, following the resumption of the vaccinated travel lane (VTL) between Malaysia and Singapore.

The airline in a statement today said more routes from other cities will be added and frequencies increased as travel demand grows in line with the reopening of leisure destinations in future.

AirAsia Malaysia chief executive officer Riad Asmat said the travel resumption to the republic signifies a great progress in the region.

“This shows huge pent-up demand for international travel, and AirAsia is ready to serve our guests with strict health and safety protocols enforced on all our flights.”

Singapore Tourism Board Southeast Asia executive director John Gregory Conceicao said the VTL is a significant milestone to allow the gradual resumption of travel between both countries.

“Singapore stands ready to welcome the return of Malaysian travellers to the city through key partners like AirAsia.”

Fully vaccinated travellers from Malaysia who wish to travel to the republic must meet the requirements set by the Singapore government prior to purchasing their flight tickets and upon arrival. – Bernama, November 20, 2021.
