Malaysia logs 6,210 new Covid-19 cases

MALAYSIA logged 6,210 new Covid-19 infections as of noon today after three days of recording less than 6,000 cases, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said. 

The total reported Covid-19 cases number 2,413,592 as of noon today.

The breakdown of cases according to states will be updated on the CovidNow website after midnight.

Meanwhile, the country has fully vaccinated 71.2% of its population after 256,497 doses were dispensed yesterday. 

According to the special committee for ensuring access to Covid-19 vaccine supply, 77.4% of the population have received at least one vaccine dose.

Malaysia aims to fully inoculate 80% of the population by December 17. – October 21, 2021.
