Neelofa, husband send representation to AGC

NOOR Neelofa Mohd Noor and her husband, Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail, have sent a representation to the Attorney-General’s Chambers over charges brought against them for breaching Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) standard operating procedures (SOP) at a carpet shop, in Nilai, in May this year.

Lawyer Wan Aizuddin Wan Mohamed, representing the couple, said the letter was sent yesterday, after case management before Magistrate Mohd Firdaus Saleh today.

Following which, he said, the court adjourned until December 1.

On May 20, Neelofa and her husband couple pleaded not guilty to violating regulation 19 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Infected Local Area) (Conditional Movement Control) (No.4) (Amendment) (No.12) Regulations 2021, which carries a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment for up to six months, or both, if found guilty.

Noor Neelofa, 32, and Haris, 26, were charged with failing to wear the face mask and failing to check-in to the premises using MySejahtera or write their name in the registration book at Kedai Naeem Carpet Sdn Bhd, Kawasan Perindustrian Nilai 3 at 4pm on May 2. – Bernama, October 21, 2021.
