3 salesmen claim trial to concealing RM2.8 million


THREE salesmen have pleaded not guilty to 27 charges of concealing money amounting to RM2.8 million belonging to a non-existent investment company in two magistrates’ courts in Kuantan, Pahang, today.

Low Kheh Sheng, 24, Ng Kai Sheng, 26 and On Hui Lin, 34, were charged with concealing money belonging to several individuals, which was transferred into two bank accounts registered under a company between May and June at a house in Pelindung Heights in Kuantan.

The charges under Section 424 of the Penal Code provide for a maximum jail term of five years or fine, or both, upon conviction.

Magistrate Ainis Abu Hassan Shaari allowed On, who is facing nine charges, bail of RM18,000 in one surety, while Ng, who is facing six charges, bail of RM12,000 in one surety.

Magistrate Nurul Farahah Mohd Suah allowed On, who is facing seven other charges, bail of RM14,000; Ng (four other charges) bail of RM10,000; and, Low (one charge) bail of RM3,000, all in one surety.

The court set November 17 for mention to enable On and Ng to appoint a lawyer, and November 25 for Low. – Bernama, October 20, 2021.
