PAKATAN Harapan (PH) will hold a meeting later today to discuss the status of the four Malacca assemblymen who withdrew their support from Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali and whether they will be allowed to contest in the upcoming elections for PH.

Coalition chairman Anwar Ibrahim said PH had taken note of uneasiness about the four.

“Whatever it is, we will discuss it in the meeting later today,” he said after attending the Maulidur Rasul celebration in Port Dickson today.

Anwar said PKR’s invite to the men for a briefing was only a gesture of gratitude for them for bringing changes to Malacca.

Yesterday, media reported that DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said the party would not accept Norhizam Hassan Baktee as a PH candidate, following his expulsion on March 10 last year.

He had been Malacca DAP deputy chairman until he pledged support for the PN-led state government. – Bernama, October 20, 2021.
