Home Ministry to discuss police salaries, Ismail Sabri says

THE Home Ministry will discuss police salaries with other ministries and agencies as the matter needs a more comprehensive study, said Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the discussions would involve, among others, the Finance Ministry and the Public Service Department (JPA).

“The matter needs in-depth discussion because it involves finance,” he told a press conference in Bera today.

Ismail was responding to a recent media report that low salaries were causing financial hardship to police officers. It is learnt that the last review of police salaries was made in 2010. – Bernama, October 17, 2021.
