ADULTS in the Klang Valley, who have yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccination appointments or a date for their second dose, can now get their shots at government clinics or private healthcare facilities for free, the Health Ministry said.

From today, selected private facilities registered with the ministry’s ProtectHealth Corporation Sdn Bhd are now able to book vaccination slots, the ministry said in a statement.

Those in the Klang Valley can contact any of the 98 private facilities listed on the ministry’s Facebook page to set an appointment.

“The vaccination programme via booking is to avoid wastage and uncertainty over vaccine demand,” the ministry said.

Adults who have just registered for vaccination and those who have missed their appointments are among the target groups for this programme.

The Klang Valley has the highest vaccination rate in the country with 82.2% of its general population and 112.1% of its adult population having completed their vaccination. – October 11, 2021.
