Parliament to discuss contract doctors’ futures, vax certificates today

THE future of contract doctors, information on vaccine recipients who do not have identity cards as well as action against those who falsify vaccine certificates are among the issues to be discussed in Parliament today.

According to the Order Paper of the Dewan Rakyat, Rusnah Aluai (Tangga Batu-PH) is scheduled to ask the health minister in the question-and-answer session about guarantees for the the career futures of contract doctors.

Also expected is a question from Lukanisman Awang Sauni (Sibuti-GPS) seeking clarification from the home minister on the government’s plan for vaccine recipients who do not have identity cards and stateless residents, especially in Sarawak, and statelessness.

Shaharizukirnain Abd Kadir (Setiu-PAS) will ask the home minister about action to be taken against those who falsify vaccination certificates.

Other issues that will be highlighted are the Rural Development Ministry’s plan to ensure that the Orang Asli participate in the national immunisation programme against Covid.  The MPs will also debate the motion of thanks for the royal address by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Scheduled to be tabled for a second reading are the Windfall Profit Levy (Amendment) Bill 2020; Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Bill 2020; Factories and Machinery (Repeal) Bill 2020; Malaysian Space Board Bill 2020 and Independent Police Conduct Commission Bill 2020.
