PAKATAN Harapan (PH) wants the Election Commission (EC) to explain discrepancies the opposition coalition has spotted in the electoral roll, said PH chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“We want to make sure the list we checked is the same with the EC’s latest version,” Dr Mahathir said in a press conference after a PH meeting in Petaling Jaya today.
He added that PH component parties have been unable to get a copy of the latest electoral roll from the EC.
The Bersatu chairman, who was together with PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng and others, said PH also intends to invite independent observers from the United Nations and Commonwealth to observe the 14th general election.
He said PH would write to Putrajaya officially to request the Foreign Ministry to extend invitations to foreign observers.
In a speech in Setiawangsa on Sunday night, Dr Mahathir said PH found 900 ‘Fatimah Ismails’, born on the same date, registered at various polling stations nationwide.
Apart from complaints that the electoral roll is error-ridden, opposition political parties and electoral watchdog Bersih 2.0 have continuously raised the contention that the electoral boundaries drawn by the EC favoured the Barisan Nasional ruling coalition. – January 16, 2018.

This 900 Fatimah Ismails should be a cause for international condemnation and outrage! The whole EC unit should be disbanded, UMNO/BN expunged and the current roguish regime disqualified rendered illegal and perpetrators criminalized for dishonesty. The legitimate party is the opposition by default of BN's cheating!
Najib you're fired!
