High court dismisses Najib’s bid to get documents linked to Zeti’s family, Jho Low


The Kuala Lumpur High Court has today dismissed former prime minister Najib Razak’s request for prosecution to provide documents related to fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho and former Bank Negara governer Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, July 12, 2021.

NAJIB Razak today failed to obtain banking documents believed to be related to fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho and the family of former Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.

The former prime minister had sought for a court order to compel the prosecution to supply the documents deemed relevant to the defence in his trial over the misappropriation of RM2.3 billion funds from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
