THE Health Ministry has detected 19 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, with workplace clusters dominating the list today, said Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The health director-general said 16 of them were traced to workplaces, two involved community transmissions, and one was at a detention centre.
Ten of the 16 workplace clusters involved factories, according to information issued by the National Security Council (MKN) on its Telegram channel.
The workplace clusters are:
1. Industry Seri Kembangan in Petaling, Selangor – 144 cases
2. Jalan Haji Taha in Kuching, Asajaya, Bau, Samarahan and Serian, Sarawak – 121 cases
3. Industry Sg Sembrong in Kluang, Johor – 68 cases
4. Industry Taming Jaya in Hulu Langat and Petaling, Selangor – 52 cases
5. Jalan Sri Raya in Malacca Tengah, Malacca – 51 cases
6. Industry Jalan Tech Valley Satu in Seremban, Negri Sembilan – 40 cases
7. Jalan Harmonium Tebrau in Johor Baru, Johor – 19 cases
8. Lingkaran Syed Putra in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur – 16 cases
9. Jalan Songsang in Temerloh, Pahang – 15 cases
10. Industry Jalan Murni 12 in Kulai, Johor – 14 cases
11. Zone B Selatan in Sepang, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Klang, Selangor – 14 cases
12. Industry Jalan Sultan in Klang, Selangor – 13 cases
13. Perindustrian Bakri Tiga in Muar, Johor – 12 cases
14 Nusa Perintis Enam in Johor Baru, Kota Tinggi and Pontian, Johor – 11 cases
15. Lorong Perusahaan Empat in Central Seberang Perai, Penang – 9 cases
16. Jalan Nagasari Satu in Central Seberang Perai, Penang – 6 cases
The two community transmission clusters were detected in Kedah and Kelantan, and they stemmed from house-visiting activities.
They are the Dah Mata Ayer cluster in Langkawi, Kedah, which has 25 cases, and the Kg Jaya Setia Badang in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, with 13 cases.
The sole detention centre cluster was detected in Sarawak at the Pagar Tebedu Detention Centre in Tebedu and Serian, with 29 cases.
Currently, 871 clusters are still active and reporting new cases. – July 3, 2021.
