17 new Covid-19 clusters

MALAYSIA has reported 17 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, taking the number of active clusters in the country to 774, said director-general of health Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Of the new clusters reported today, 12 were linked to workplaces, four were community transmissions and one high-risk group cluster was reported.

The workplace clusters were traced in Selangor, Johor, Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur.

Sarawak reported two out of four community clusters, while the other two were reported in Kelantan and Perak respectively.

The sole high-risk group cluster involving an elderly care home was traced in Negri Sembilan.

The 17 new clusters are:

2. Industry Persiaran Usahawan Tiga in Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Sepang, Selangor (57)

3. Industry Subang Tujuh in Petaling, Selangor (37)

4. Industry Jalan Makmur in Kuala Selangor, Selangor (26)

5. Industry Jalan Tengah Empat in Gombak, Selangor (11)

6. Perindustrian Bakri Lima in Muar, Johor (70)

7. Jalan Aik Hwa Choon in Muar, Johor (30)

8. Walit Agas in Tangkak and Muar, Johor (25)

9. Jalan Minyak Beku in Batu Pahat, Johor (15)

10. Batu Empat Tunjong in Kota Baru, Bachok, Pasir Mas and Pasir Puteh, Kelantan (29)

11. Industry 5084 Pengkalan Chepa in Kota Baru (12)

12. Persiaran Pertahanan Construction Site jn Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur (115).
