ABAH, we need Emak
Abah, allow me to repeat what Saleh Mohammed wrote to you here.
“We and the future generations will be grateful to you and more importantly, it will uplift our dignity and self-respect in the eyes of the world guided by your love as an Abah.”
“We understand at times you also need the support of an ‘Emak’ who loves the children too.”
Abah, it takes three to make a family. You (executive) are one. Emak (parliament) is the other. The children (judiciary) complete the family (government).
We need Emak, especially in times of emergency. Emak is a pillar of strength – always. To be sure, we need all three together.
We cannot lock down parliament while the other two branches of government remain functional.
As Saleh wrote, we pray that you be strong, more assertive and firmer in your decisions and allow parliament to reconvene, to stand with you in unity during these difficult times.
A promise has been made to you: there will not be calls for a vote of confidence if parliament is convened.
Emak will keep her promise, as always. – May 28, 2021.
