POLICE have arrested a 36-year-old woman in connection with Facebook posts in insulting and threatening officers manning a roadblock in Putrajaya.

Putrajaya police chief Mohd Fadzil Ali said the woman was picked up last night after a police report was lodged about posts from a Facebook account ‘Diana Mat’.

“The mobile phone used to upload the posts was also seized.

“Preliminary investigation found that before the police report was made, several screenshots of the Facebook posts had gone viral on social media,” he said in a statement today.

The woman is being investigated for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of the peace, criminal intimidation and improper use of network facilities. – Bernama, May 7, 2021.
