Court throws out govt’s bid to dismiss citizenship suit

THE Kuala Lumpur High Court has dismissed a bid by the government to strike out a lawsuit by a group and several individuals who want their children born abroad to automatically be Malaysian citizens.

Judge Akhtar Tahir dismissed the suit by the government on the grounds that the case was not frivolous.
