DR Mahathir Mohamad has said he was unaware that the husband of former Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz had allegedly received funds from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Malaysiakini reported.
The former prime minister was interviewed by the news portal and asked about his decision in 2018 to appoint Zeti as a member of the Council of Eminent Persons to advise the then new Pakatan Harapan federal government in 2018 on the country’s economy and governance.
