AirAsia looking to rehire retrenched employees

After having to retrench some 2,000 staff last October due economic challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, AirAsia Group Bhd is now planning to rehire employees that had been laid off. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 6, 2021.

AirAsia Group Bhd plans to rehire the employees it had to retrench last year once the airline’s business starts to pick up. 

Group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes has vowed to rehire all of them and is confident that the low-cost carrier will be able to do that.
