HANNAH Yeoh today complained that the Federal Territories minister has been too preoccupied with the the squabbling in Umno and Bersatu to meet with Kuala Lumpur  lawmakers.

The Segambut MP said the opposition MPs have yet to receive a response from Annuar Musa to their December 7 letter requesting a meeting.

“It has been almost four months and the minister has yet to give us a date for an appointment,” Yeoh said today in a statement.

“I hope he will soon give us a meeting date and not just be busy with Umno-Bersatu squabbles.”

She said a February 16 letter asking him to meet with Taman Tun Dr Ismail residents to discuss the Taman Rimba Kiara case has also gone unanswered.

“The decision of the Court of Appeal is in favour of the residents but City Hall and the Federal Territories Foundation under his administration continue to appeal the case.

“Our letter was not answered, no date was not given. Even parliament is yet to convene.

“How else can we raise issues with the minister?” she asked.

On February 6, the TTDI Resident’s Association urged the Kuala Lumpur mayor and the Federal Territories Foundation not to appeal the court decision to quash City Hall’s development order for condominiums in Taman Rimba Kiara.

The RA said the two parties should abide by the January 27 pronouncements of the appellate court.

A three-man panel led by Federal Court judge Mary Lim unanimously decided that the development order issued in 2017 to YWP and developer Memang Perkasa for the TRK project was null and void. – April 1, 2021.
