Survey says termination of wage subsidies won’t increase joblessness

THE termination of the Wage Subsidy Programme will not contribute to an increase in layoffs or the unemployment rate, said Social Security Organisation (Socso) chief executive Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed.

He said this was based on the results of a survey conducted by the EIS-UPMCS Centre for Future Labour Market involving 469 companies receiving the PSU.
