NATIONAL Unity Minister Halimah Mohamed Sadique is the fourth minister to test positive for Covid-19.

In a statement today, her ministry said she had gone for the swab test yesterday and the results came back positive today.

“Following that Halimah will be treated and undergo quarantine in Johor Baru,” it said.

It said the Kota Tinggi member of parliament will continue to monitor and ensure that all ministry affairs proceed well during her quarantine.

“Halimah thanked everyone who has prayed for her recovery and apologised for all difficulties and problems which has emerged due to this development,” the statement read.

Three ministers and one deputy minister have recently tested positive for Covid-19.

They are, Home Affairs Minister Hamzah Zainuddin, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rina Mohd Harun and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (economy) Mustapa Mohamed.

Communications and Multimedia Minister Ministry confirmed on January 13 that deputy minister Zahidi Zainul Abidin has also tested positive for Covid-19. – January 19, 2021.
