THREE men involved in a drunken brawl at Section 17A/6, Damansara yesterday have been arrested by police.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said police were informed of the fight at 7.24pm, which also involved an attempt to run down members of the public with a car.

He said police rushed to the scene and arrested two local men aged 20 and 21 who were believed to be involved in the fight.

“Police also seized a Proton Wira used by a suspect,” he said in a statement today.

Nik Ezanee said background checks found the 20-year-old suspect had five criminal records for voluntarily causing hurt, possessing a weapon and rioting as well as criminal intimidation.

He said according to witnesses, another man involved in the fight had allegedly broken the windshield of the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

“However, police managed to track down and arrest the third suspect this afternoon. Further investigations are still underway to ascertain the cause of the incident,” he said.

All three are remanded for three days to assist in investigations. – Bernama, January 17, 2021.
