Floods force 17 Pahang water treatment plants to shut

Water authorities in Johor, Negri Sembilan, Selangor, Perak, Kedah and Penang have sent their tankers to Pahang to aid in water distribution after floods caused the state’s water treatment plants to shut down. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 5, 2021.

FLOOD caused the shutdown of 17 water treatment plants (LRAs) in seven Pahang districts, said Pengurusan Air Pahang Bhd (PAIP) in a statement today.

It said 26 LRAs were affected, but nine reopened at 11am today.
