Selangor Zakat Board confirms staffer positive for Covid-19

THE Selangor Zakat Board confirmed one of its staff at its headquarters in Section 13, Shah Alam is positive for Covid-19.

The board, in a statement today, said the personnel was confirmed positive yesterday after undergoing a screening on Thursday and had been sent for treatment at a hospital.

According to the statement, the personnel, prior to this, was found to be a close contact of a virus-positive family member and had been ordered to self-quarantine for 14 days at home from November 11.

“During the period, the personnel did not go into office and did not have any dealings with any other staff or clients.

“The board is working closely with the Health Ministry to ensure all steps to check the spread of the virus are implemented quickly,” it said.

The board also said a comprehensive disinfection had been implemented at the workplace involved under the stipulated guidelines.

The statement added that customers dealing with the board were urged to comply with the standard operating procedure at all of its branches. – Bernama, November 23, 2020.
