Anwar wanted to be my DPM, says Dr Mahathir

ANWAR Ibrahim could have been prime minister if only all of Pakatan Harapan supported me during the political impasse in February, said Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The former prime minister revealed he only had 66 lawmakers supporting him but 92 others from DAP, Amanah and PKR supported Anwar.

  • If you had supported Anwar with your 66 then you could have had a govt that fulfils reforms. Instead u chose to resign and hand over to Muhyiddin. This is probably your plan anyway. In any event why could you not make him DPM

  • Still crying over something created by you but with twisted allegations everything to suit your imagination. You do know what happened and stop twisting the events. You thought you were so popular and thought everyone supported you even to the extend of you betraying their support? You resigned thinking all would beg you to be the PM and with your intention of creating your own cabinet with you alone solely picking whoever to be in the cabinet! On realising that you had a crooked plan, only a few continued to support you, get it? Stop changing the facts, we are not fools. Forget about you getting any support for what you have done. YOU ARE TOO OLD!
