23 in court over false travel border stamps


TWENTY-THREE individuals comprising 19 men and four women, including enforcement personnel of a government department, were brought to the Putrajaya magistrates’ court today for remand proceedings in connection with falsifying travel document border stamps.

Some were brought in a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission bus while others in cars that arrived at the court compound about 10am.

All were wearing MACC orange garb and taken to the first floor of the court for the remand process. 

They donned masks and had their temperature checked as part of health SOP. 

Several others in Johor Baru, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu will also be brought to courts today for remand proceedings to assist investigations in connection with falsifying travel document border stamps. – Bernama, November 17, 2020.
