Schools in Kuching virus red zones closed until November 13

SCHOOLS in Kuching’s Covid-19 red zones will close tomorrow until November 13 as infections spike in the city.

Kuching has logged 81 cases in the last 14 days.

The Education Ministry said 209 educational institutions, including private schools, matriculation colleges and teaching institutes, are affected by the decision.

Parents of pupils who are boarded are to take their children home, it said in a statement.

Those who choose to remain in the dormitories during the closure will be under the care of the wardens.

“The school will provide food and drink for the pupils waiting to be picked up by their parents as well as those who choose to remain in the hostel.

“Teaching and learning manuals can be downloaded from www.moe.gov.my.” – October 29, 2020.
