SABAH Chief Minister Hajiji Mohd Noor is in high spirits and continues to carry out his duties via phone calls and video conferences despite being in quarantine since October 8.

According to Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Wetrom Bahanda, Hajiji is in stable condition and currently undergoing treatment for Covid-19.

He said Hajiji was also very concerned on the safety and wellbeing of the people in the state.

“I pray that he (Hajiji) will recover soon and return to serve the rakyat,” he said in a statement today.

Wetrom also invited all Sabahans to pray for Hajiji and the state to recover from Covid-19.

The Sabah Bersatu chief was warded at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu last week after testing positive for Covid-19.

“The chief minister decided to self-quarantine after he was informed one of his staff members had tested positive for the virus.

“During this self-quarantine period, Hajiji took another test and is confirmed positive for Covid-19,” the chief minister’s press secretary Effendi Mohamed Sunoh reportedly said. – Bernama, October 13, 2020.
