GABUNGAN Rakyat Sabah leaders have left the Sutera Harbour Resort and are on their way to meet Sabah Governor Juhar Mahiruddin.

Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Radin, however, declined to comment when asked by reporters gathered at the hotel since 9am who GRS is proposing as its chief minister.

“We will let TYT (the governor) decide,” the Kinabatangan MP said.

Earlier in the day, Barisan Nasional secretary-general Annuar Musa tweeted that 41 assemblymen will meet the Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri today.

“All 41 GRS assemblymen met for the first time today. All the Umno, Bersatu and PBS chiefs will meet the Sabah governor today,” he said.

In a follow-up tweet, Annuar said: “The cooperation between Umno, Bersatu and PAS will be continued to unite all races and religions.

“Sabah has shown the way towards a better Malaysia  and Sabah to continue to be developed. Thank you Sabah,” said the Ketereh MP.

Meanwhile, Bernama reported that Sabah Bersatu chairman Hajiji Noor also left the resort at 1.45pm, alongside his deputy, Masidi Manjun.

Hajiji, however, refused to divulge any details, saying an official statement will be issued soon.

“No comment. Just stay calm. We are done discussing,” he said.

It appears GRS has also secured the support of three more assemblymen.

GRS currently has 38 assemblymen, comprising 17 from Perikatan Nasional, BN (14) and PBS (7).

According to the Election Commission, Warisan Sabah won the most number of seats at 29 followed by Perikatan Nasional (17), BN (14), PBS (7), independents (3), PKR (2) and Upko (1). All of BN’s seats were won by Umno.
