More focus to be given to B40’s lowest category, says Mustapa

THE government will break the B40 household group into several categories starting in 2021, with more focus to be given to those in the B1 category with a household income of RM2,500 and below.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Mustapa Mohamed said there are about 2.91 million households in Malaysia in the the B40 category with an income of RM4,850 and below.
