53,249 chewing tobacco sachets seized at Tuas checkpoint

SINGAPORE authorities seized 53,249 sachets of chewing tobacco smuggled in five Malaysia-registered bowser lorries at the Tuas checkpoint on September 7.

According to a joint statement by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Health Sciences Authority (HSA), a total of 26 packages containing sachets of chewing tobacco were retrieved from the five lorries.
