FORMER Johor Menteri Besar Osman Sapian today said Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin gave him some advice regarding the former’s presence at a Pejuang programme in Slim, Perak, last month.

Osman told reporters this today when asked whether the prime minister had broached him on the matter.

The Kempas assemblyman said Muhyiddin, who is also Gambir assemblyman, had advised him in a casual manner when they met at the state legislative assembly sitting on Thursday.

“He (Muhyiddin) said ‘take it slow, no need to speak much’,” Osman said after today’s state assembly sitting in Kota Iskandar.

A video clip of Osman, who is also Ayer Hitam Bersatu division chief, attending a campaign event involving independent candidate Amir Khusyairi Mohamad Tanusi during the Slim by-election had recently gone viral.

However, Osman reportedly downplayed his presence at the event, saying it was just an opportunity to meet old friends while holidaying and had nothing to do with political matters. – Bernama, September 13, 2020.
