Husband of murdered woman found hanging from Bkt Bintang billboard


THE husband of an elderly woman, who was found dead with her throat cut in Sg Petani, was today found hanging from a billboard in Bkt Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Muda district police chief,Adzli Abu Shah said the body of Tan Kok Jooi, 62, the main suspect in the murder of his wife, was found by passers-by.

“We received a report on the incident at 7.42am today. The family members identified the body and confirmed that he was the husband of the victim found dead with a slash wound on her neck yesterday,” he said.

The man’s car was found about 50m from the billboard.

“Yesterday’s case is considered solved but we will continue with our investigation as one case involved murder while the other case is classified as sudden death. The suspect’s body will be sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Star for a post-mortem.”

Yesterday, Kuek Choo Hong, 61, was found dead and covered in blood in her bedroom at home in Bandar Aman Jaya. Her face was covered with a pillow and her neck had been slashed.

Adzli said the investigating team was looking for the weapon the suspect used to cut the victim.

“We have found a pair of jeans in a washing machine in the house, which we believe was an attempt to remove the evidence.

“We have also received information from the victim’s family members that she and the suspect had domestic problems. – Bernama, August 11, 2020.
