US man arrested for using pandemic aid to buy Lambo


A Texas man has been charged with fraud after using the US$1.6 million in government pandemic aid he received to buy a US$200,000 Lamborghini Urus and a Rolex watch, among other luxury goods. – EPA pic, August 5, 2020.

INSTEAD of speeding off in a US$200,000 (RM840,700) Lamborghini Urus, a Texas man got a slower ride to jail yesterday after authorities arrested him for using US$1.6 million in government pandemic aid to go on a spending spree.

Lee Price III, 29, was charged with fraud after he secured two government loans under the Pay Cheque Protection Programme to pay employees he did not have, said the US Justice Department in a statement.
