Engineer charged with drink-driving, injuring retired policeman


AN engineer, accused of driving his vehicle into a restaurant, injuring a retired policeman, pleaded not guilty to a charge of drink-driving at Ampang Magistrate’s Court today.

S. Surintheran, 42, was accused of driving with 163mg/100ml of alcohol in his bloodstream, more than twice the permitted limit of 80mg/100ml, which resulted in him losing control his car and crashing into two cars, injuring Mohd Rose Hassan, 63, a customer at Taman Melawati food court.
