Ipoh trader to pay RM5,000 for selling chicken above stipulated price

A MINI-MARKET owner in Ipoh’s Little India became the first trader in the state to be issued a compound of RM5,000 by for selling standard chicken above the stipulated price.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry Peral branch chief enforcement officer V. Ravichandran said the mini-market owner was selling standard chicken at RM7.70 per kg, 20 sen more than the price stipulated in the Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
