Do more to prevent Covid-19 at detention centres, urges group

A CIVIL society group is urging Putrajaya to ramp measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among foreigners at detention centres after an outbreak at two places.

The group fighting for the rights of detainees in custody, Eliminating Deaths and Abuse in Custody Together (EDICT) said the government must fulfil its duty of care to the detainees who tested positive.
