Argentina defaults for 2nd time this century

ARGENTINA defaulted yesterday for the second time this century after failing to pay US$500 million (RM1.15 billion) of interest on its bond debt, but it continues to negotiate a restructure with creditors, an official source told AFP.

“We’re not paying but the negotiations are continuing,” the government source said.
