MTUC says clarity urgently needed on virus testing for workers

PUTRAJAYA should issue clear guidelines and directives on Covid-19 screening for workers as much confusion remains, said Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) secretary-general J. Solomon.

He said the government must spell out how frequently they need to be screened, to ensure only those confirmed free of infection are allowed to work.

  • Mr Solomon has raised a very valid point. The question of retesting from time to time is an issue which health authorities all over the world are grappling with. There is no easy answer and confusion will persist for the present.
