MORE freedom of movement, and a return to work and houses of worship are the top three things Malaysians want under a relaxed movement-control order (MCO).

A National Security Council poll conducted via Telegram saw 60% of respondents choosing movement, followed by worship (48%) and work (47%). In fourth place is food.

The poll, released at 1pm today, has 72,500 respondents at the time of writing.

It asks people to “state three main items that should be relaxed under the MCO”.

Of the other choices, 27% of respondents went with additional aid, education (17%), recreation (12%) and social (10%).

The MCO, aimed at stopping the spread of Covid-19, took effect on March 18 and will be in place until at least May 12. – April 27, 2020.
