PRIME Minister Najib Razak has dismissed his political nemesis, Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s chance of ousting him from power in the next general election.

The prime minister, while acknowledging the presence of another former prime minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in his salutation at the opening of the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Kuching, said Dr Mahathir will fail in his bid.

After describing Abdullah, the founder of the forum, as a “very supportive immediate predecessor”, he said “my other predecessor is forcing a disruptive change” in reference to the theme of the forum, “Disruptive change: Impact and challenges”.

“He won’t succeed,” said Najib.

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir has teamed up with his former arch political foes in PKR and DAP to form an opposition bloc, Pakatan Harapan, in an attempt to oust Najib and his ruling Barisan Nasional.

Dr Mahathir, chairman of Bersatu, has teamed up with his former deputy and PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, whom he jailed on a sodomy charge, and DAP’s Lim Kit Siang.

They accuse Najib of embezzling billions of ringgit of public funds from 1Malaysia Development Bhd. – November 21, 2017.

  • Najib, ever heard "arrogance precedes downfall"?
That's right, even mega teflon Mugabe of Zimbabwe and Setya of Indonesia finally bit the dust -- so will you too, very soon.
Rakyat and international prosecutions will catch up with your thieving corrupt behaviour.

  • "After describing Abdullah, the founder of the forum, as a “very supportive immediate predecessor”---- Yes!!!! very supportive and not even a squeak from him on your misdeeds and plundering.
“my other predecessor is forcing a disruptive change”---- Sure lah you no like him at all !!!! He is calling you all sorts of names which hurts your reputation.
BUT Mr. PM --- do not be boastful!! pride comes b4 a fall. Do not forget the RAHMAN is preordained and your name is in the last of the alpha list. The "other predecessor" has reaffirmed that you will be charged and hauled up for all your crimes when UmnoBN is vanquished. The Rakyat looks forward to that day and will celebrate for 100 days of joy. It shall be an official day to remember in every anniversary. One by one all dictators and tyrants never last long in the office. What makes you so special.

  • PM Najib - forget about that washed-out dictator and move on. Malaysia is much better under your leadership compared to Mahatir's regime

  • Well reading this now on 8 June 2018, it really sounds like a sick joke. Times are a changin', and fast. A lot has happened in a mere six months, my dear ex-PM Najib Razak.

  • " It is stupid to happily self promote from 1st husband to 3rd husband. It is even more stupid to let a witch to rule the money part but 3rd hubby bite the bullet. " Will this scenario see light in Malaysia? I must ask the person who is good in predicting.

Is DS Najib going to be thanked by Lim Guan Eng and Dr Mahathir for Najib's farsightedness in bilateral international trade relations??
Did not Datuk Sabaruddin Chick the one time Trade Minister of Mahathir's dictatorial era also do so much good to put Malaysia on the world map? Why did Mahathir terminate a good Minister like Datuk Sabaruddin Chik??Datuk Sabaruddin Chik was Mahathir's best Cabinent Minister
Why is Mahathir globe trotting alone now ...???It is just because he hates Najib Tun Razak.
