FOUR men will be charged in court on Monday with defying the movement-control order (MCO) to stem the spread of Covid-19.

Sepang district police chief Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said the suspects, aged between 27 and 36, were arrested on Wednesday night at a roadblock mounted by police and the military in Jalan Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi-Nilai.

Three of the men were travelling in a car.

“The fourth man, a motorcyclist, was detained 15 minutes later at the same roadblock,” said Wan Kamarul Azran in a statement today.

He said the four failed to give a good reason as to why they were outdoors.

He urged the public to abide by the MCO, which is in place till April 14.

“Police will not hesitate to take action against errant individuals.” – Bernama, March 28, 2020.
