Transport Ministry to allow clearance of non-essentials through ports

The Transport Ministry has instructed ports that have reached maximum holding capacity to move non-essential goods to warehouses, so that essential goods can be released immediately.

Minister Wee Ka Siong said the ministry wants to clear congestion at Port Klang, the Port of Penang, and the Johor Port in Pasir Gudang, which are nearly at 100% capacity.
