Belgium to ramp up coronavirus testing

BELGIUM said yesterday it wants to boost its coronavirus testing fivefold from 2,000 per day, which some doctors judge to be gravely insufficient, to 10,000 per day.

Philippe De Backer, the minister tasked with coordinating the effort to slow the virus’ spread, said in a statement that the goal should be reached “in the coming days”.
