GERAKAN has no intention of returning to Barisan Nasional or joining any coalition just yet, said president Dominic Lau.
“At the moment, we have no such intention,” he told reporters before chairing an emergency meeting at the party’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
Gerakan left BN in June 2018, following the coalition’s defeat in the elections the previous month.
Lau said the Gerakan meeting is to discuss developments in Malaysian politics.
“If there is a new prime minister… we’ll discuss how Gerakan, as a political party, can play a role in the country’s political arena.” – Bernama, February 24, 2020.
