6.5-magnitude quake hits Java

A QUAKE with a magnitude of 6.5 hit Java, Indonesia, at 2.12am.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the quake occurred 125km north of Surabaya at a depth of 600km.

However, it does not pose a tsunami threat to Malaysia. – Bernama, February 6, 2020.
