Bukit Aman debuts song, corporate video in anti-drugs campaign

BUKIT Aman Narcotics CID today launched the department’s corporate video and theme song in a new anti-drug campaign.

Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said the video was developed in Bahasa Malaysia and English, while the theme song was adapted from the Gemuruh song sung by Faizal Tahir.

He said the productions were created based on three cores of the national drug policy and five cores of the security and public order policy, besides to catalyse transformation in the aspects and operations of the ‘Five M’ strategies.

“The Five M strategies are: fighting drug smuggling, curbing drug offers, enhancing national and international networks, strengthening and improving the implementation of property forfeiture, and becoming a rehabilitation partner.

“Therefore, we must move forward with the latest methods and approaches in dealing with drugs in line with the national mission for a drug-free Malaysia,” he said at the press conference for the launch at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur.

Hamid said he would constantly be monitoring the latest developments on drugs, and also congratulated the police force, especially the narcotics group, which had clearly carried out its responsibilities with a high level of integrity.

“In combating the drug threat, integrity plays a very vital role. If there is no integrity, then the country will be destroyed,” he added.

His remarks came after the narcotics group celebrated 2019, when it seized 180 tonnes and 75,000 litres of drugs worth RM2.7 billion. – Bernama, January 28, 2020.

  • Better than wasting time investigating sex scandals ! Throw all the racists and religious fear mongerers in gaol too while you are it, they are as much a danger to the social cohesion of society as drugs are!
